Tom Ford is one of those brands I always lust after, I actually got my first lipstick from there a number of years ago as a gift and I remember how much I loved it, however, I never bought another myself as they are rather pricey. When I was recently out shopping I noticed that they have this collection now called Lips and Boys where they have a bunch of mini lipsticks all in boys names for £29 each which I know is still expensive but it’s cheaper than a full sized one, it also has a wide range of shades that all have different finishes too which is amazing! I had a little look at the colours and decided to go with Evan which is a beautiful matte nude – surprise surprise haha!
I’d describe the colour as a pretty dusky rose/brown, perfect for everyday wear. It is a matte shade however it doesn’t make your lips feel all horrible and dry, it actually has a nice creamy texture to it although that does, unfortunately, mean it doesn’t last as long as some other more drying matte lipsticks do.
The thing I’ve found so nice about this is how luxurious it feels, you can definitely tell you’re putting a lipstick on that is high end! If I was to compare it to other brands I’d say Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks are the closest to it although they aren’t identical.
Now we can’t not talk about Tom Ford packaging! I just love the look of their products, it’s so classic and simple with the black and gold! I also love the TF logo that’s on top of the lipstick as well as on the bullet itself too, I’ve worn this a few times now and it still not completely worn off which is great.
I have to admit, you can’t help but get that great feeling when you apply a luxury product like this, do any of you get that same feeling? I’m not sure why, though, maybe because it feels special when you have treated yourself to something from a brand that you won’t normally buy from.
I really do love their lipsticks although I can’t see my collection growing that big when they are that expensive sadly!
Have you tried Tom Ford lipsticks before? What do you think of them?
