I was first introduced to Bobbi Brown when I was younger by my mum and it quickly became a favourite of mine, I had a bunch of her beauty books and a few products, her Pot Rouge cream blush being one of them. Over the years as I’ve gotten into other brands I’ve kind of just forgotten about this one, then recently I decided I wanted to get into cream blushes again and that’s when Bobbi Brown popped into mind.
When I went to go pick one up I noticed they had this limited edition collection out called Cheek Glow which contains three different palettes all in pretty white packaging with both a cream highlight and a Pot Rouge cream blush in each of them. I was immediately drawn to this one which is called Bare/Desert Rose that actually has the blush shade I used to love a number of years ago so it was perfect!
Since I got this I’ve been using it non-stop, I forgot just how much healthier/glowing a cream blush can make you look plus the two colours are just so beautiful. Don’t be put off by how intense the highlighter looks in the pan, it does actually go on as a lovely soft rose/golden sheen and for the blush, it’s this pretty non-glittery dusky rose colour that looks so dewy and natural on.
One of my favourite things about this is the texture, it’s creamy and somewhat waxy, I find that in comparison to cream blushes I’ve used in the past these stay on longer and I feel the texture is a big reason for that. You can also use the cream blush on your lips too which is cool, means you can carry one less product around with you.
I can’t wait to use this in the Summer, it will be perfect for then! I might also pick a few other colours of just the Pot Rouge cream blushes up too, they have a beautiful peach shade I have my eye on!
Do you like cream blushes? What’s your favourite?
